Loose Leaf Teas are Popping up Everywhere! by JT Herself San Diego is serving up lots of loose leaf tea. No joke! I grew up there so I should know. When I moved to Las Vegas with my family a couple of years ago, you could find loose leaf at the tea houses and a handful of restaurants. On a recen trip out to SD for a long weekend, I was shocked at the loose leaf options I had while I was there. And...it was good tea too! First stop was The Daily Grind in Rolando Village, a cute little breakfast shop near SDSU. AWESOME! Sharing the tea love with college students. I kicked off my sightseeing, and my car sized omelette, with a fantastic Darjeeling and it definitely put a pep in my step. The next day, I had an awesome cupcake and delicious cup of Coconut Creme (coconut white tea) at Frosted Robin Cupcakes in Seaport Village for dessert. Even my husband got in on the action and enjoyed a rooibos. In the past, I've had to take tea with me if I wanted to drink something that didn't make me cringe. Nice to know that the next time I visit America's Finest City, I will be able to take part in the world's finest drink! Any travellers out there wanting to share their favorite tourist tea spots?
